What comes to mind when you hear Municipal Law Enforcement (By-law Enforcement)? Probably parking tickets is the first thing to pop up. But did you know there is so much more?
Our staff enforce many different Town by-laws, including noise, firearm restriction, fireworks, open fires, taxi cab and driver licencing, refreshment vehicles, clean yards and property standards.
We answer over 600 calls a year ranging from a barking dog to unsafe buildings. Please see the "recent projects" for some before and after pictures of properties in your neighbourhood that we have dealt with.

Did you know you are not permitted to keep derelict vehicles on your property? All vehicles parked outside of a garage must be currently plated and operational.

This is the before and after shots of a property located on Hwy 12. Our staff worked together with the owners to achieve compliance without having to resort to any prosecution.

This was a complaint of accumulations of debris, garbage, and derelict vehicles. Staff issued a notice to clean, when the home owner did not comply, the Town hired contractors to complete the job.
