Consultation has concluded
The Town of Midland has a chance to take part in Communitech's Collision Day this fall. What is this event? It's an event designed to:
Help local and municipal government partners find and meet startups working in the field of Smart Cities technology;
Municipal partners are invited to pitch an overview of the problems they are trying to solve and the types of technologies they are interested in; and
The pitch is followed by an informal networking opportunity where the local/municipal government employees can meet the startups attending.
Before we get to that point, we first need to identify the largest issues the community of Midland is facing. That's where you come in. We want your suggestions on what these issues are! Below is a tool called 'Suggest a Problem' where you can submit the problem(s) you feel Midland is facing, with details as to why you feel that way. Other participants can like and comment on the suggestions as well.
Even though the Collision Day event is focused on providing technology solutions, the problems themselves need not be tech-related. Please submit your suggestion with that in mind.
The Town of Midland is also meeting with other community groups/agencies to gather their feedback, and combined with the suggestions on Engaging Midland, we will determine a shortlist to pitch at Collision Day.
*Please note: We have only been given a short window of time to submit our shortlist of problems to the organizers. The opportunity to suggest a problem will only be available until 9 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, so don't delay submitting your suggestion!
Extended to 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 15!
