Consultation has concluded
Hannah Street is a quaint, tree lined residential street located east of King Street, one of Midland's main north-south arterial roads. Due to the underground infrastructure deteriorating the Town is undergoing a full reconstruction on Hannah Street between King Street and Queen Street. Tatham Engineering has been retained to complete the detailed designed work required for this project.
The reconstruction will include:
Replacement of sanitary sewer, including individual laterals to the property line
Replacement of watermain including individual service laterals to the property line
Reconstruction of approximately 250m of roadway, including the installation of concrete curbs and replacing some concrete sidewalk within the north boulevard
The work will also include restoration of all disturbed areas, driveway aprons and all surface elements within the boulevard. The Town has tendered and awarded the Contract to Leading Edge Construction, who are scheduled to mobilize and commence work during May 2021. Construction is expected to be complete in late August 2021.
Hannah Street will be closed throughout construction, open to local traffic and emergency vehicles only. Driveway access for local traffic will be maintained to the extent possible. If vehicular access is restricted for more than 24 hours, the contractor will provide notification at least 24 hours in advance.
If you require wheelchair access, home care visits etc. please contact the Site Inspector or Project Manager.

Leading Edge Construction is our general contractor on site and they are a local company out of Oro-Medonte. This is the first time the Town of Midland has used them for a reconstruction project. The crew has a frequent visitor stop by to supervise their work.
